What CasaCaddy does
Scan an appliance
Point your iPhone camera at a water heater, furnace, fridge, or its model plate. CasaCaddy identifies the brand, model, and type in seconds, and you can correct anything before it is saved. You get an inventory of your home without typing model numbers.
Get a maintenance schedule
Each saved appliance gets its own schedule of routine tasks, like flushing a water heater or changing an HVAC filter, plus a seasonal checklist for the whole house. The outcome is a short list of what is due, instead of a drawer full of manuals.
Reminders on your phone
CasaCaddy schedules reminders as local notifications on your iPhone, so tasks show up when they are due. Nothing depends on you remembering when you last did something.
Step-by-step care guides
For each task you can open an AI-assisted do-it-yourself guide written for your specific appliance. Guides you have opened stay available, and they always point you back to the manufacturer manual and a licensed pro for gas, high-voltage, or refrigerant work.
Find a pro when it is not a DIY job
When a job is beyond DIY, CasaCaddy hands you off to Maps, Yelp, Angi, or Thumbtack. You pick and hire the contractor directly; CasaCaddy is not a middleman.
What makes CasaCaddy different
A photo instead of a form
CasaCaddy starts with the camera rather than a form. One photo of the appliance or its model plate produces the inventory item and its maintenance schedule, typically in under two minutes per appliance, with no model numbers to look up or type.
No account, no email, no address
CasaCaddy works with an anonymous device identity. It never asks for your name, email, phone number, or street address, and your home inventory and schedule are stored on your iPhone.
Your data never gets held hostage
If a Pro subscription lapses, nothing you created is deleted or locked. Items, schedules, reminders, and guides you already opened stay available; only Pro extras like higher AI allowances and CSV export pause.
Plain, published pricing
Pro is $5.99 a month or $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan, and a one-time Lifetime unlock is also offered. Billing runs through Apple, so you cancel in iPhone Settings like any other subscription, with no contract.
Honest about what AI can get wrong
Recognition results and guides are labelled as AI-assisted and editable, and the app tells you when a job belongs with a licensed professional. It is a maintenance memory, not a replacement for the manufacturer manual or local code.

The team behind CasaCaddy
CasaCaddy is built by John Arndt, founder of Soxoa, based in Sacramento, California. John builds and runs a small portfolio of focused software products, and CasaCaddy is the one built for the home.
The idea came from a simple gap: a house is full of equipment that needs routine care, and almost nobody remembers the model numbers, the service intervals, or when a task was last done. CasaCaddy puts that memory on your phone, starting from a single photo.
CasaCaddy is a solo-founder product. John designs, builds, and supports it himself, using AI tooling for development and for the in-app recognition and guides. There is no support team in between.

How CasaCaddy works
- Install CasaCaddy on your iPhone once it launches on the App Store. No sign-up is needed.
- Allow camera access and photograph an appliance or its model plate.
- Review the recognized brand and model, fix anything that is off, and save it.
- Allow notifications so CasaCaddy can remind you when each task is due.
- Open a guide when a task comes up, or hand off to a pro if it is not a DIY job.

Billing: Apple handles all payments, refunds, and cancellations. Use Restore Purchases in CasaCaddy Settings after moving to a new iPhone.
